Melolo.ai Terms of Service

Welcome to the services provided by Melolo.ai (hereinafter referred to as "the Platform" or "Melolo.ai"). This Agreement constitutes a legal contract between you and Melolo.ai governing your access to and use of all products and services of the Platform, and is legally binding on both parties.

Please read all clauses of this Agreement in full before using the Platform. Your access, browsing, reading, viewing, registration, download or any other use of the Platform’s services shall be deemed that you have fully understood and agreed to all contents of this Agreement.

Melolo.ai may revise this Agreement from time to time in response to business adjustments and legal changes. The revised Agreement will be published on the Platform and take effect on the effective date specified in the announcement. Your continued use of the Platform’s services after the update shall constitute acceptance of the revised Agreement.

I. Scope of Application

This Agreement applies to all scenarios where you access and use all products and services of the Platform via Melolo.ai website, mobile applications, mini-programs and all other clients. The Privacy Policy and special rules published on the Platform form an integral part of this Agreement and carry the same legal effect. If any clause of this Agreement conflicts with mandatory legal provisions, such clause shall be implemented in accordance with the law without affecting the validity of the remaining clauses.

II. Service Usage & Account Management

1. Service Description

The Platform provides online browsing services for novels and entertainment content, together with auxiliary functions including playback, reading, sharing and favorites.

2. Access Rules

1. (1) You may browse part of the free content without registering an account.
2. (2) Functions such as browsing history and content favorites require account login. You shall complete the login process as prompted and ensure all submitted information is true, accurate, complete and valid.

3. Account Security

1. (1) Please properly safeguard your account information, login credentials and passwords. All operations conducted under your account shall be deemed your personal acts, for which you shall bear full legal liability.
2. (2) You shall not lend, transfer, rent or authorize your account to any third party. Any losses arising from poor custody leading to account theft shall be borne solely by you.
3. (3) If you discover account theft, abnormal login or other security risks, contact us immediately via support@melolo.ai. We reserve the right to suspend, freeze or terminate relevant accounts according to risk levels.

4. Disposal of Violation Accounts

Melolo.ai reserves the right to impose function restrictions, account suspension or account deletion without prior notice on accounts with abnormal operations, illegal content dissemination or other breaches of this Agreement.

III. User Code of Conduct

When using the Platform’s services, you shall abide by applicable laws, public morality and this Agreement, and shall not engage in the following acts:

1. 1.Copy or download copyrighted novels or disseminate such content via screen recording, transcription, screenshot, web crawlers or any other means;
2. 2.Share, resell or lend Platform content (including unlocked paid content) to others, or use it for commercial operation and public dissemination for profit;
3. 3.Use automated scripts, crawlers, plug-ins to batch access or scrape Platform content, or disrupt normal Platform operation;
4. 4.Maliciously register multiple accounts and exploit Platform loopholes for order brushing, coupon cashing or illegal withdrawal;
5. 5.Publish or disseminate illegal, vulgar, violent, fraudulent content or information infringing others’ legitimate rights;
6. 6.Insult, slander, harass or conduct cyber violence against the Platform, its operators or other users;
7. 7.Other acts violating laws, this Agreement or infringing the legitimate interests of the Platform and third parties.

If you violate the above provisions, Melolo.ai may issue warnings, restrict partial functions, temporarily or permanently ban accounts, or confiscate illegal gains based on the severity of violations. Where criminal offences are suspected, the Platform reserves the right to report to competent authorities. All losses and legal liabilities arising from violations shall be borne solely by you.

IV. Provisions on Paid Content

1.All novel chapters requiring payment unlocking are independently operated and charged by corresponding copyright owners. You will be redirected to the copyright owner’s platform or designated third-party payment channels after clicking the payment entrance.

2.Liability Division

1. (1) All matters including pricing, content delivery, usage permissions, refund rules and after-sales services for paid content are the sole responsibility of corresponding copyright owners and unrelated to Melolo.ai.
2. (2) Payment services are independently provided by third-party payment institutions. Payment security and transaction disputes shall be borne by payment providers and copyright owners, and Melolo.ai shall not be held liable.
3. (3) Please carefully read the copyright owner’s service rules before payment and assess transaction risks independently. Any disputes arising from payments shall be resolved through direct negotiation with the relevant copyright owner.

V. Third-Party Services & Content

1. 1.The Platform may contain redirect links to third-party websites, content or services operated independently by third parties. Melolo.ai shall not be liable for the authenticity, reliability, security or legality of third-party content.
2. 2.The Platform may display advertisements and brand promotions in text, image, video and interactive formats provided by advertisers. Melolo.ai makes no express or implied warranties regarding the quality of goods or services advertised.
3. 3.Partial Platform functions are technically supported by third-party service providers. When using such functions, you shall comply with the terms of service and privacy policies of corresponding third parties simultaneously.

4.Disclaimer

Except as otherwise required by law, Melolo.ai shall not be liable for any losses arising from your use of third-party services, access to external links or transactions with advertisers.

VI. Intellectual Property Protection

1. 1.All content on the Platform including text, images, audio, videos, interface design, page layout, brand logos, source codes and related data is protected by copyright, trademark, patent and other intellectual property laws. Without legal exceptions or valid authorization, no entity or individual may copy, modify, disseminate, display, sell or otherwise utilize such content.
2. 2.Melolo.ai respects the legitimate rights of intellectual property owners. Any entity believing its rights are infringed may submit a written notice to support@melolo.ai. We will conduct timely review upon receiving a valid notice and take necessary measures including content deletion, page blocking and link removal. Complainants shall bear legal liabilities for malicious or false complaints.

VII. User Information & Privacy Protection

1. 1.Melolo.ai attaches great importance to user privacy protection and collects, uses and stores personal information in strict compliance with applicable laws and the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of this Agreement. Please read it before using services.
2. 2.We process user information only within necessary scope for service provision, optimization, personalized recommendation and fraud prevention. We will not disclose your personal information to unauthorized third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

3.Minors Protection

Melolo.ai does not actively provide services to users under 18 and will not proactively collect minors’ personal data. If minor information is collected without guardian consent, we will take timely deletion measures in compliance with regulations.

4.Data Security

We adopt industry-standard reasonable security measures to protect user information from unauthorized access, leakage, tampering or damage. You acknowledge that no network security measure can guarantee absolute safety, and Melolo.ai shall not bear full liability for losses caused by force majeure or third-party cyberattacks.

VIII. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

1. 1.You acknowledge and agree that we do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free or fully secure service, nor guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of content. Novels are for entertainment reference only and do not constitute professional advice. All liabilities related to paid content rest with copyright owners, and Melolo.ai makes no warranties.
2. 2.You shall bear all risks arising from your use of the Platform and its content, including losses caused by network failures, system errors and other uncontrollable third-party conduct.
3. 3.To the maximum extent permitted by law, Melolo.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. The maximum total compensation payable by Melolo.ai shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the month when the damage occurs.

4.Force Majeure

Melolo.ai shall not be liable for service interruption or delay caused by force majeure events including earthquakes, fires, floods, wars, government administrative acts and large-scale network outages, and will make reasonable efforts to restore services.

IX. Service Modification, Suspension & Termination

1. 1.Melolo.ai reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate part or all services at any time based on operation adjustments, policy compliance and security requirements. Users will be notified via Platform announcements, pop-ups, emails or in-site messages.
2. 2.You may stop using the Platform at any time. Rules for purchasing and canceling subscriptions to paid content shall be subject to the statements published on copyright owners’ platforms.
3. 3.If you breach this Agreement, applicable laws or other Platform policies, Melolo.ai may immediately suspend or terminate your service access and delete your account and relevant content.
4. 4.After service termination, Melolo.ai will handle your account and data in compliance with laws and internal policies. Unless otherwise stipulated by law, Melolo.ai has no obligation to store or export any content or data for you.

X. Notices & Dispute Resolution

1. Delivery of Notices

Melolo.ai will send notices via emails, system messages, Platform announcements or pop-ups. All notices shall be deemed delivered upon dispatch.

2. Governing Law

The formation, performance, interpretation and dispute resolution of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, subject to any mandatory statutory provisions.

3. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) for arbitration under its arbitration rules effective at the time of application. The seat of arbitration shall be Hong Kong, the arbitration language shall be Chinese, and the arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties.

XI. Miscellaneous Provisions

1. 1.If any clause of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining clauses shall remain in full force.
2. 2.Failure by Melolo.ai to exercise any right under this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right.
