Rejected Luna's Final Vengeance

Left for dead by her fated mate, a disgraced female werewolf survives the ultimate betrayal. She returns with dark, ancient power to destroy the pack that cast her out and claim her rightful vengeance.

Chapter 2

The moment my claws retracted, I knew the bed was empty.

I used my hand to flip back the sheets, revealing the disheveled bedspread and a large, unmistakable stain in the center—proof of the night’s recklessness.

From the ensuite, the sound of rushing water reached my ears.

I scoffed. These so-called Alphas, always so righteous on the surface.

“Everly and Alina are both my pupils, raised under my care. I would never show favoritism.”

Oh, he didn’t show favoritism, did he? He just spent the night tangled up with his youngest disciple, lost in their own world.

Ignoring my wolf’s frantic warnings in my mind, I flexed my claws and marched into the bathroom.

The room was warm, filled with steam that clung to every surface.

As I pulled back the shower curtain, their lips parted abruptly, their expressions frozen in shock.

“Ah—!”

Six eyes met, and the reactions were priceless.

“Everly Shaw, get out!” Philip roared, his Alpha tone booming with authority.

Alina Woods quickly sank deeper into the water, only her wide, tearful eyes visible above the surface.

“M-master,” she stammered, her voice trembling. “Why are you here?”

Seeing Alina’s panic, Philip’s anger flared.

A bar of soap hurled toward me, striking my forehead with a sickening thud. Blood instantly streamed down my face, painting me like some vengeful specter.

“Everly, I’ve spared your life not so you could invade my privacy like this,” he growled, his voice laced with menace.

I wiped the blood from my cheek, smearing it across my face like war paint.

“If I’m here to spy on your shower,” I sneered, pointing at Alina, “then what’s she here for? To scrub your back out of filial piety?”

My words were laced with venom, and Philip’s face darkened.

“Watch your tongue. Don’t you dare tarnish your sister’s reputation.”

“We were just… strengthening our pack bond,” Alina interjected, her voice soft but steady.

I nodded mockingly. “Of course, Alina is always pure and virtuous. So pure that after a night together, she’s still untouched, right?”

The air in the room turned frigid, the steam crystallizing into frost on the tiles.

Philip’s aura intensified, the Alpha tone in his voice cutting through the tension.

He was ready to kill me.

But I didn’t falter. Instead, I bared my claws, my knuckles white with the force of my grip.

Just as the tension reached its peak, Alina leapt from the tub, water cascading off her as she pleaded with me.

“Master, it’s my fault. I’m weak, and my training hasn’t been enough. Alpha Hughes was just… helping me improve my skills.”

Her words only fueled Philip’s protectiveness.

“Everly, if you had even half the consideration of Alina, I might have let you live today.”

His Alpha aura pressed down on me, but I refused to buckle.

Instead, I laughed—a bitter, hollow sound.

“Alpha Hughes, if I’m not considerate enough, then give me back what’s mine!”

Before he could react, I lunged at him, my hand clamping down on his arm.

My fingers pressed against his chest, and I summoned the bond I had once foolishly given him.

At first, Philip seemed unbothered, but then his face contorted in pain. He coughed violently, blood spilling from his lips.

“What are you doing, Everly? Stop this!”

He struggled, but he couldn’t break free.

From deep within him, a thread of energy—my emotional bond—began to unravel. It slithered from his chest to his arm, then through his fingertips, before reconnecting with me.

My wounds healed instantly, and my presence shifted, radiating newfound strength.

Philip’s eyes widened in shock.

“The bond… you’re taking it back?”

I smirked, my voice dripping with disdain.

“Alpha Hughes, you’ve been using my bond for so long, you’ve forgotten it was never yours to keep.”
