Chapter 2

I stormed into the Blue Moon Pack’s estate, only to be blocked by a group of Delta warriors at the entrance.

These warriors were all new, not a single one recognized me. I sneered inwardly. Alden had been cautious, replacing even the estate’s guards.

“Call Alden Price out to see me!” I demanded coldly, my Alpha tone resonating through the air.

The Deltas chuckled, their eyes sweeping over me with disdain. “You think the Alpha would just come out at your whim?”

I pulled the pack’s insignia from my pocket and threw it at their feet. “Open your eyes and see! I’m the Luna of this pack!”

They glanced at the insignia, but their sneers only deepened. “The Luna? The Luna is sitting inside, safe and sound. How could she be dressed like some rogue from the outskirts?”

I looked down at myself. Years of healing had made me accustomed to simple, practical clothing, but now it became a reason for their mockery.

Done wasting time, I pushed past them, ready to force my way into the estate. The Deltas bared their claws, but I quickly reached into my sleeve and flung a handful of wolfsbane powder into their faces. They immediately clutched their eyes, howling in pain.

I rushed into the estate’s grand hall. There, seated at the head of the room, was Alden Price, and beside him—my half-sister, Margo Hansen.

My heart tightened. Margo had been exiled to the Shadow Moon Pack years ago. What was she doing here?

They looked intimate, like a mated pair. In the center of the room stood a tall, muscular man. Though his features had matured, I recognized him instantly as Dallas Torres, the Beta of the Silver Fang Pack.

And with her back to me was a young girl in a pink dress, her figure similar to Ailany’s age. She must be Margo’s daughter, Kaeli Carter. She was holding hands with Dallas, whispering something to him.

The sight ignited my fury. “Alden!” I shouted, my voice sharp and commanding.

Alden froze at the sound of my voice, his smile vanishing. He quickly stood, putting distance between himself and Margo, and hurried over to me.

“Natalie,” he said, his voice strained, “why didn’t you tell me you were coming back? I would’ve sent someone to escort you.”

I brushed his hand aside, feigning ignorance. “Where’s Ailany?”

His eyes darted nervously. “Ailany… she’s not feeling well. I sent her to the pack’s healing retreat to recover. Don’t worry.”

“Oh?” I smirked, raising my voice deliberately. “Funny, because I heard the Blue Moon Pack is celebrating a mark ceremony today. Since when did I have another daughter? I don’t seem to recall giving birth to her!”

My voice echoed through the hall. Dallas’s brow furrowed, his gaze shifting between us, confusion darkening his features.

Alden’s face paled. He tried to stop me, but I shoved him aside and marched toward Kaeli.

“Who gave you the right to impersonate my Ailany?” I demanded.

Before anyone could react, I slapped Kaeli across the face. She stumbled back, clutching her cheek, her eyes wide with fear.

Margo leaped to her feet, rushing to shield her daughter. “How dare you lay a hand on my girl!” she shrieked.

I laughed coldly. “How dare I?”

“Because I’m the Luna of this pack!”

With that, I slapped Margo too, the force leaving a bright red mark on her cheek.

“Margo!” Alden rushed forward, pulling the two of them close. He turned to me, his voice furious. “Natalie, have you lost your mind?”

I smirked, my gaze slicing through the three of them. “Lost my mind? Alden, why don’t you explain why these two are here?”

Alden’s eyes darted, but he couldn’t find the words.

Dallas stepped forward, his voice low but firm. “What’s going on here?”

I turned to him, my expression laced with mockery. “Can’t you see? This mother and daughter—one impersonating me, the other impersonating my daughter—have been lying to you all along.”
