I was only an obscure Omega that others bullied.

Aidan was the one who offered support and help to me when I was badly injured.

From that day onward, he had always stayed by my side and protected me.

It was until Seraphina appeared.

I saw the profile picture from the screenshot that he was showing me. I saw the same profile picture on his phone last night.

It was Seraphina’s profile picture.

I said nothing. Aidan also realized how ridiculous the situation was. He was just about to say something when he saw me nod.

“Alright, I’ll buy the materials.”

I was treating it as a chance for me to repay him.

From then on, I no longer owed him anything else.

I carried my bag and wanted to leave. Aidan looked at my back and felt a bit upset.

I held the door handle and did not turn around.

“Anything else?”

“Nothing. I’ve already transferred some money for you to purchase the materials.”

After I went out, I saw the huge sum of money and transferred it back to him.

It was only then I realized that out of the thousands of messages I sent Aidan, he only replied to a few.

His measly replies even included the transfer of funds and the screenshot of the event setup.

In the living room, Aidan heard the notification that I was transferring the money back to him. He felt a bit irritated as he tightened his grip around the phone.

It was 6 p.m. when I received a call from Aidan.

“Liora, where are you?”

I sat in the private room next to Aidan’s as I heard Aidan and Seraphina’s laughter. I did not answer his question.

“Do you have anything else to instruct me?”

He fell silent for a while. The next moment, he said gently, “Nothing, I just want to thank you for decorating this. She… I like it a lot.”

After a few seconds, he lowered his voice and said, “Thank you.”

Before I could answer, I heard Seraphina say, “Liora, I heard you personally decorated this event space.

“Thank you for putting so much effort into celebrating my birthday. You are great at decorating! If it weren’t for Aidan who said he wanted to surprise me, I wouldn’t have received such a great gift!”

Just when Seraphina was about to invite me to her birthday party, Aidan snatched her phone and immediately stopped me from coming.

“Liora, you don’t have to come.”

Immediately after, he ended the call.

Just when I was about to put the phone away, I heard my phone buzzing.

Aidan sent me his location and a text message. [Seraphina wants a bottle of champagne to celebrate. Go buy it and come over.]

After the call ended, I could hear heavy breathing from the private room next to me. I opened the door and left.

When I rushed to their private room, Aidan was cupping Seraphina’s face as he looked lovingly into her eyes.

He froze when he saw me in the private room. He glared at me angrily.

I knew that Seraphina was the one who had sent the location and text message.

I did not expose her. Instead, I came in with the champagne.

Aidan was yelling at me angrily.

“What are you doing here?”

“Aidan, I wanted a bottle of champagne for my birthday, so I used your phone to text Liora,” Seraphina said as she took the bottle of champagne and poured it into glasses. She then passed a glass to Aidan.

Aidan smiled lovingly and took the glass before they clinked glasses.

“I hope we can spend your birthday together every year.”

I saw the smile in his eyes. I took a document out of my bag and passed it to him.

“Aidan, there is a document that you need to sign.”

Aidan picked up the document and saw the word ‘agreement’ on the cover. He prepared to flip through the pages.

I immediately got nervous, but I kept my composure.

Simultaneously, Seraphina frowned and said, “Aidan, today is my birthday…”

Aidan immediately apologized. He quickly signed the papers and passed the document to me.

Seraphina leaned against the couch as she swirled her champagne glass. She cocked an eyebrow tauntingly at me.

In the past, I would have been hurt by it.

Instead, I remained calm.

Just as I was about to leave, Aidan suddenly grabbed my wrist.

He asked in annoyance, “Liora, did you specially come over just for this?”
